Default dvd rebuilder + imgburn

jdobbs has announced/added support for imgburn in dvd rebuilder

Quote:
I've added support for burning with ImgBurn in the DVD Rebuilder Professional Edition. It will be out with the next (v1.00 Final) release. If ImgBurn is installed it will become the default ISO output software... if not, DVD-RB will use DVD Decrypter (assuming it is installed).

I highly recommend using the internally controlled ISO creation and burning tools of DVD-RB (which uses MKIOFS and ImgBurn/Decrypter). There are other "to remain unnamed" burning packages out there that try to outsmart the authoring software and in the process create a coaster. DVD Decrypter and ImgBurn both do the job correctly.

The Unnamed ones include Nero and Roxio.

Now blu, that's not fair, grouping easycrap with nero, hitting below the belt
from "downunder"!

Was I somehow lowering Roxio to Nero's horrendously low standards? If so, I apologise.

Blu; So am I to infer from your sig files that it's ok to burn with
easycd, or do some things go without saying?

Nero advocate, but will test the "limited" functionality of Imgburn SOON!

Hardly. I only use DVD Decrypter/IB to burn and have not made a coaster.

It's been over a year since Nero threw me a curve ball, but then I
think it was that shoddy company Plextor's firmware. Do you ever burn anything but dvd video disks?

The occasional CD and every week, I backup my system on a DVD - paradoxically with Nero Backitup - which can't even burn at 4x with my media, even though DVD Decrypter can.

So nero has it uses! Now that Nero backitup, I don't trust.
Besides I upgrade every 6 months, just another excuse for a clean install.
