Default Eeprom?

For LITE-On Drivers-Booktype Options, there is a regular setting for dvd+R and a setting for DVD+R EEPROM!. What is the difference? and what should I use if I am using verbatim +R?

I made this automatic for liteon drives as of 2.3.2.0.

They're now part of the 'Auto Change Book Type' code.

But otherwise, yes, what soup said!

The eeprom setting simply means it'll remember the option after a reboot. With the other ones, it won't.

Lightning...I'm just curious...why only Liteon drives?? Does Eeprom not work with other brands of drives?
Thanks.

camj979,

The 'feature' now runs on LG / Samsung / Lite-On drives.

Most the other drives are automatically set to booktype to DVDROM (where possible) when you buy them. It appeared to me that Lite-Ons were not, so even though they have the ability to remember the setting between power cycles, it was of no real use if the user hadn't configured it! (and most users don't have a clue what 'bitsetting' is, hence it never gets configured!)

Yes camj

Sorry to mislead you. I meant LGs do not have an EEPROM. But ImgBurn cleverly auto booktypes it anyway.

Try it!

Regards
