Default img burn gets stuck at 85%

after shrinking and burning with img, the burn gets stuck at 85%, and after about 5-7 min, it starts again, i did a burn verify and it went through without pausing, ive yet to watch the movie , which is pirates, any ideas? i just updated my firmware, and also, the burnr makes noises , this is new

I have had it pause once while burning too. What had happened was that I was multitasking at the time. It is best to run lean and mean while burning so the CPU only has to concentrate on ImgBurn instead of multiple items.

Click on the two links beside Windows XP in my signature. They explain lean and mean.

BTW: The disc score was 98. The stop and start of the burn did not affect my playback at all.

i had nothing else running at the time, pirates came out good, but miami vice, stopped at 855, and didnt start up again, also, when i tried to burn either one of them again, it says, can not write medium, incompatible format

stick a blank in and open imgburn and set burn speed to 8x

if that doesn't work set it for 4x with that old aopen burner

how do i get an img log to post it here, im burning at 4x and it just froze again at 83%, and the burner gets squeaky sounding

It's not freezing, it's waiting for your OS / drive to respond to the commands.

When they begin to reply / accept them again the % complete will once again start to increase.

If your drive is making weird noises, I suggest you look into that as the root cause of your problems!

To access the logs, either copy + paste from the log window, or click the 'Help' menu and select 'ImgBurn Logs'. There should be a file in that folder.

here is the log from miami vice, that stops at 85% dvd devrptper seems to burn tho, with no freezes, i just updat firmware to 1030, im trying img, ill post after16:49:49 ImgBurn Version 2.1.0.0 started!

Check your IDE cables. Or the drive may be up the spout - they aren't known as the best anyway.
