Default Layer Break Question

First, thanks to all of the people who have taken lots of their free time to set up this very useful site. It has helped me a great deal and I really appreciate it.

The tutoral for creating a layer break has always worked fine when backing up one of my movies. However, I recently tried to back up a disc with lots of episodes on it and chosing which layer break to use has not been an easy one. On the last disc I tried, I took a guess as to which one to choose. It did not work well because some of the discs menu functions will not work. I cannot access some of the episodes by the menu, I have to keep choosing "next" on my remote control to get to that episode. Here is a screen shot of what I'm talking about. How do I know which break I should choose so the disc works okay?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!!

I believe if you check this link out, I think it would avoid you having to create the layer break manually. I am not 100% sure because I have never tried it with episode dvd's.

They are colour coded. Pick a green one - any green one.

Thanks for the reply, but I think having more than one green option may be why I had a problem with my last burn. With these episode discs, I seem to have more than one green to choose from. I picked one last time and now some of the menu functions will not work. With full length films, I've only had one green star to pick from and those always worked fine. Thanks again!

That can't be so (although some picky players have reported difficulties when menus are on the inside layer).

Really, pick a green; or a blue; or a gold; or a grey. They will all work (subject to media you are using).

I'd pick the 2nd green one.

50/50 split and the least padding.
