Default DV Field help

I have a Q/A about Field order and DV Video.

I know how Analog Video works by showing the Top Field first and then the Bottum Field next to make one Frame.

And this is an Interlaced Image and I get how this all works.

Now I have Movie Studio 8.0 to edit all my videos and so on and need some help with setting up the Properties?

In the Properties window it lets me pick how I want to setup the Field order and it has Bottum Field first.

Now I whent to the Forum for help for this program and they told me this.

You soulh set up Field order to match the Field order of the video you will be importing.

Now I do get they say any Video like .MOV like my Camcorder takes is DV and .AVi is DV.

And any DV format is Bottum Field first.
So I sould setup Field order in Movie Studio 8.0 as Bottum Field First.

I get this Match Field Order in the Program to match the DV video you have to import.

But why is the DV video work Bottum Field First?

If Analog video is Displayed as Top Field First??

What is going on??
