Question-2 Encoding animated films <- use less fps/bitrate to preserve space?

Does anyone have some suggestions on encoding animated shows like Futurama to Divx? I read somewhere that one could easily use a lower framerate and bitrate without effecting quality to much. This would result in even lesser filesizes.

Does it make snse and which fps would be a good start, 20? TIA!
