Question no sound on VCD

I had a Divx file that I encoded (with TMPGEnc) and when it was finished tried to burn it in Nero 5.5. When I go to drag the file over to be burned, it says there is an error and it must encode the file again. The Divx file finished encoding and then went on to write on a CD-R. I went to play the VCD and the picture is perfect but there is no sound. (the sound worked fine after the first time I encoded it and played it in media player). Does anyone have any advice on what went wrong?

I've burned Divx movies this way before and it worked fine.
