Default Play

I have recently formatted a pc and i'm tryin to play an avi movie
which was was previously encoded with gknot using divxcodec.
every time i try to play using wmp9 nothing happens do i need
to install something codecs players etc before i play.

Yes, if you have a film that has been encoded in the DivX format then you need the codec (just the standard will do) from here look on your left under the part where they show you what codecs they have and you'll find the link for the standard codec.
