Default Resolution Problem

when i resize my avi in vdub to 352 166 and i say ok. then start encoding. while its in encoding the preview is in 352 166. but when the movie is done and i watch its in 352 198 which is very destorted. no matter what i do its in this resolution. what can i do? i'm encoding right now and i went into the encoder options and changed the resolution at general parameters (divx 5.0.4). if that doesn't work what else can i do?

Use a resolution divisible by 16.

1. How many pass are you doing? And if 2-pass, have you made sure that it is not the first pass result that you are trying to play?

2. Check that the video tab has been set to Full Processing Mode and that an appropriate resizer has been loaded up.

Ahh...found the (possible) culprit here. Avoid using a codec-based resizer. Go for the built-in one in Virtualdub (load it up via Video -> Filters).

i've been using both the divx encoder and resize on vdub. i tried using only the encoder and only using the resize on vdub. still doesn't work.
