Question using subtitles with flask/virtualdub???

i already have a method for ripping dvds, and it works fine:

1 - smartripper to rip the main VOBs and the IFO
2 - FlaskMPEG to open the ifo and see how long the movie is
3 - bitrate calculator to determine the bitrate
4 - use flask with divx 4.12 (i had problems with 5.x) in 2-run mode (run 1 - rip the audio to an ac3 file, run 2 - seperate program to convert to wav)
5 - then i just use virtualdub to put the video and audio together, while at the same time compressing the audio.

I just want to know what program to use and when in order to have subtitles - i rip a lot of anime, and i HATE the dubbed versions. if possible, id like to not have any files other than the .avi when im done, and for it to be able to run in windows media player - basically i want the subtitles to be a PART of the movie itself. any ideas on how to do this would be greatly appreciated

When you open the ifo file in flask, it should let you select one subtitles stream, that will then be burned into the video image.

If you can't get this to work, you will need to use an entirely different method, like GordianKnot
Donate your idle CPU time for something usefull.
