Default Choppy playback with DVD+RW

I encode my DVDs with DivX 5 to a filesize around 1500 MB wich I think gets good quality. When I playback the file from the HD everything works well, but when I burn it to a DVD+RW disc the playback gets very choppy. It seems to be a problem with the burner anyone else got this problem? Or more important anyone else got a solution to this problem?

Is DMA enabled? If not, try enabling it (provided your dvd+rw drive supports dma). Perhaps the brand of dvd+rw you are using is the problem? Try the Verbatim brand.
