Default A/V alignment

I've encoded the bourne identity and I mixed the audio and video together and when I go to play the video the audio and video aren't aligned properly. What can I do to make the audio line up with video?

PS: I used VirtualDub for aligning audio and video

If you're asking a question about an AVI video file, you' are posting to the wrong subforrum. This area is for Authoring DVDs. There are several more appropriate areas in which to post your question ("DivX", "Xvid", "General", "Juniors and Newbies", "VCD") - and by all means, be more specific regarding the filetype...
