Thumbs up removing horizontal black bars with virtualdub

i tried too much but not successful i follow this method as
video>filters>add filter>null transform
add filter>resize to 640*480>select aspect ratio-4:3>in filter mode-precise bicubic(A=-1.00)
then save as avi.
but output file also has black bars
Before it
althuogh so many files was successful.
now how to remove these black bars.
