Unhappy audio/video synch problems

I am using Instant DVD 2.0 to capture video to my hard drive and then using Ulead DVD Movie Factory 2 SE to create DVDs from my home videos.
After about 45 minutes, the audio and video go out of synch.
Any ideas?
Thank you

Unfamiliar with the software but can you switch from variable bitrate to constant bitrate for the sound somewhere?

HI, Nothing seems to work as yet.
There is a flaw in the capture.
It is not in the making of the DVD.
I've even downloaded some updates, with no luck.
I feel fairly screwed.

I did have relative success, i encoded the file first using tmpgenc to mpeg2 then used ulead to create the dvd files and menus etc. This got rid of the sound problem, however, tmpgenc is far from perfect as i still have problems encoding about 50% of my avi's to mpeg2's, it usually comes up with invalid pointer operation, but so far i've not managed to find out how to fix this.

In TMPGEnc, you could try to increase the "Direct Show Multimedia Reader" to the highest priority. Go to "Environmental Settings" "VFAPI plugin" tab rightclick on the "Direct Show Multimedia Reader" and increase to the highest priority. Then try to load your AVI file.

All Ulead video software I have used produce audio sync problems
normally 4 of 5 videos had problems, some was out by 10 mins,
no wonder ULEAD software tends to be free with hardware.

Encode with TMPEG then Try TMPEG DVD Author
or something else to make the DVDs

invalid pointer operation
There is a FIX hopefully

In TMPEG > Options > Environmental Settings
VFAPI Plug-In > Change "DirectShow Multimedia File Reader"
To a higher priority like 2 (right mouse click to change) then
Click OK.

Dumb ass me missed the above post by ormonde lol
whoops
