Default Learning to Walk

Fantastic Forum with lots of useful info! However, if someone does not mind, could you please explain to me the exact process from start to finish of how to author a DVD from mini DV tape. I have the following equipment (probably too much): Recorded media on JVC Mini-DV, Pyro Firewire capture card, U-Lead Video Studio 6, Nero 5.5 Burn, and my newest edition Plextor External 8x DVD Burner(multi format). I am Using a Dell 1mhz P-3 PC and also an Inspiron 8200 2 Ghz Laptop with very bell and whistle. I would like to do slide shows on DVD and DVD movies with titles menues, etc. Bundled with thee DVD burner is the roxio burning software which I hesitate to install. If possible could you tell me the steps plus the easiest software to use I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

capture ur video using vs6 , it will make it mpeg2 also, u can do editing too.
if version 6 allows u can capture in mpeg2 direct but in non-realtime.

now use Tmpgdvd auther to make dvd structure or menus stuff, even can burn to dvd if u have windows xp installed, otherwise use nero to burn.
