Default Why are DVD-r's cheaper than DVD+r's?

Just wondering since the technology can't be that much different.

Just shear scale of volume.

I'm sure DVD+r will catch up in 2003

...because the DVD- burners got a head start...DVD+ has only been around for just over a year.
