Unhappy AC3 decoder gui & X-vis audio problems

Hi Guys.....having trouble with x-vid audio conversion.
Having seen previous posts I downnloaded the ac3gui BUT when I try to load in the audio created in/with virtual-dub ac3....I click "start" and nothing happens. I have also download and installed ac3 codecs. nothinh happens am I missing something ?

Has anyone come up with a easier (!) method to convert x-vids inc vcd or svcd ?

I read that the x-vid codec is not really all that good except that those with a brain that thinks in binary or something - can get into the gubbins and meddle with code. OK fine...but I, as a lesser moron cannot boil water without something going wrong....if they must mess with the code will they please also create a solution for us morons who only want to do a conversion to watch a movie on a DVD player...pretty pretty please.

Try a virtualdub mod that supports ac3.
