Default ac3 Unsynchronized frame

hi there please help!!!!!
i am attempting to encode a divx file with ac3 to dvd. i have done this many many times before with no problems. now i have encountered an ac3 file that will not stay in sync. i have tried using besliced and delaycut to fix this to no avail. the only lead i have is that deley cut reports " Unsynchronized frame" in its log file please please let me know of any way of sorting this problem.

1) Load the .AVI file (DivX-compressed or otherwise) into the most recent version of either VirtualDub or VirtualDubMod

2) Set "Video" to "Direct Stream Copy"

3) Select "Check for errors"

4) Select "Mask bad frames"

5) Save with a new filename

1) Load the original (DivX-compressed or otherwise) .AVI video file into VirtualDub (or one of its many variants) or NanDub

2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (BOTH video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

Try the following, as a possible means to eliminate your "Unsynchronized frame" situation:

It looks like your setup includes the ability for VirtualDub to accept .AC3 audio for input - if not, use VirtualDubMOD instead.

1) Load the DivX-compressed .AVI into VirtualDub

2) Set "Video" to "Direct Stream Copy"

3) From under the "Audio" tab, select "Interleaving" - and set both "Preload" and "Interleave" to 64 milliseconds

4) Save with a new filename

"hi there i attempted to follow your instructions. but i had to substitute "check for errors" with scan for errrors and this did not work."

"thanks for the idea but it did'nt work"

For each of these attempts, would you be good enough to be specific as to what "didn't work"?

Were you unable to run a "check for errors, or is it that the check did not disclose any errors?

Were you unable to set both "Preload" and "Interleave" to 64 milliseconds, or is it that AFTER DOING SO, the newly saved file continued to exhibit the same problematic behaviour?
