Post Can anyone recomend a video editing tool?

I'm trying to get the ending of Geobreeders: Breakthough hammered out but CPM tacked the english credits onto the end of the original credits (better then butchering the original IMHO) and put them both in the same .vob file. I can rip and encode them fine but theres about 90 secs of plan white text on a black backgroud that I want to cut off the end. I have no video editing tools to do this and just need a basic (read: Free) program that can cut and edit video clips. Any recomendations would be great, thank you.

P.S.
I'm using FlaskMPEG so if theres anyway I can do that in-program It'd be very helpful to point out how to me.

I do believe Flask0.6, can do this.
If I recall correctly it works something like this. Load the source into Flask, select the range you wish to encode, click add job, to add the cropped job, and delete the original job.

But of course You can also use, virtualdub, to cut it afterwords. Like this:
1. load avi file into vitualdub
2. Set both audio and video to Direct Stream copy.
3. Set the start and end points of your selection, using the slider and the [home] and [end] keys.
4. Select File->save to create a new file.

Of course, to make filesize prediction easier, it's best exclude the credits from the encoding. A number of tools allow you to do this. Both GordianKnot and DVX, will let you do this.

Can you give me a link to a site that has the newest version in .zip format? I have a .rar decompressor but it doesn't seem to work with MPEG2Cut's .rar for some reason (I.E. it can read the file and unzip it but nothing comes out) and I hate to download nagware and shareware crap just for this one file. If you know of a better free .rar decompressor then the one I'm using (Xtrator Plus) feel free to send me the link. Thanks.

ExtractNow, a freebie for uncompressing .RAR files, handled MPEG2Cut.RAR without incident...

(I'm not aware of any site that has a ZIP version of MPEG2Cut)
