Default Frame Rate WAY too fast.. Help!!

Its a divx and the video is moving way too fast. video stops at 4:47 and the audio goes to the end of the video, witch is 8:15 how do I slow down the video so it runs at real time? so its syncronized with the audio. and the audio is just fine. it just looks like people are moving twice as fast as they should be.
