Default Horizontal Lines - Please Help

I've always Ripped - Encoded my DVDs in DivX using NeoDivX Crystal Fusion v. 9.2 since... I've bought a new HD and I've formatted to install OS. I still use NeoDivX and i obtain DivX Encoded files, but all of them have very noisy horizontal lines. Please, should someone help me, I really can't figure why does this happens.

P.S.: Sorry for my english... I'm Italian

My HW configuration (If it can help...):

Processor: AMD Athlon XP Palomino 1600 MhZ
RAM: 512 Mb PC 133
Video Card: Sapphire ATI Radeon 9000 Pro 64 Mb DDR
Sound Card: Sound Blaster Extigy
HD: Samsung 10 Gb 7200 Rpm
Samsung 80 Gb 7200 Rpm (O.S.)

Installed Codecs: DivX 3.11 - DivX 5.02 Free - XViD (NeoDivX Ver.)

Please Help...

Luca

horizontal lines are quite often an indicator for interlaced material.

could that be the case?

I don't think this should be the answer, cause I'm trying to re-encode the same movies I had already encoded... with horrible results...

Yes, I did: the DivX encoded on my PC shows the same horizontal lines in complex scenes on other computers, but the DivX clearly viewable on other computers are perfect in streaming on mine... so I think the problem is strictly connected to the encoding process itself: I really don't know how to come out of this thing.
