Default Missing DivX 5.04 Entry in Video Compressors ???

Hi all.

I have a frustrating problem. I have installed the DivX 5.04 codec on my Win98SE computer but when I use an encoding tool (eg. VirtualDub, EO Video etc.), the DivX 5.04 codec does not appear in the "Choose Video Compressor" option. I have reinstalled the codec many times but the entry is still missing.

I used Gspot to check if the codec is installed properly and the DivX Decoder Filters (of type DSH) are present but the VFW (qcap.dll --> divx.dll) entry seems to be missing.

I can't encode in divx format because of this. What can I do to resolve this ?
