Default Sound problem when i put 2 avi files to one.

I have signs on to avi files i vill put this together to one file cause i want subtitels on it.

I have used Tmpg for this.

But when i do this, putting to files to one, the sound on the "old 2'nd disk" have a delay on 2 sec.

That means half of the movie, there is a delay on the sound for to sec. the subtitels works great to the mouth it is the sound i have some problems with. :

Before i paste them together there was no problems. confused:

Is there a pogram where i can cut 2 sec. of sound in the middel of the film so speak will follow mouth.

I hope that there is someone who can help me.

Regards
Dick

Have you tried correcting the audio sync problem in VDub/NanDub before joined the two parts?

In VDub/NanDub

Set Video and Audio tabs to Direct Stream Copy.
Under interleaving...[Ctrl+I] enter a value in the Audio skew correction field (as you explained we have a 2 sec delay, so the value would be -2000).
Save new avi....[F7]

The sound on disk 1 and 2 are ok, no problems there.

The problem comes when i paste them together, then the sound in the middel of the movie and to the end (the old disk 2) have a delay.

But do you mean, that before i put the files together i should do what you are saying. (just to be sure)

Is it because i put 2 files to one that it gives this problem.

Thx. for helping me

Dick

Have you tried VDub/NanDub for the joining task?

Open part 1 in VDub/NanDub
Set both Video and Audio tabs to Direct Stream Copy.
File-->Append AVI Segment and click on the second part.
Save AVI...[F7]

Note : The two segments MUST be same res, audio sampling rate etc.....(If you downloaded or encoded the video it probably is)

Do the sound play properly now?
