What is the fastest software for re-encoding from one DIVX version to another ?

Have you tried using VDM on it's own?? not very fast compared to gordian knot pushing it.

i have not noticed any difference.... but what do you mean by 'pushing it'?

AFAIK, gknot uses vdubmod for video and besweet for audio.... i'm not sure if it actually alters the programs though

Have you tried the software Vidomi 0.469.
I guaranteed not the quality, but I think that it is faster
