Default Xvid file with DTS audio

Does anyone know how to handle a xvid file encoded with .dts audio. How to extract (does it have same problems as with AC3, and some utility like ac3fix to resolve it???). How to join two .dts files and how to play them.

I have searched everywhere with no definite solutions....... Help!!!! pls.

Well is DTS such a forbidden territory that not even the mightiest ones are replying!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyways, "God help those who help themselves" and therefore after extensive search and testing I found out the way.

1) Download avimux_GUI and install it.(It can handle more sources than vdubmod including .dts and does not create header problems while extracting/merging ac3/dts audio files)

2) Open the avi file in it and mux it again to a new .avi file (to remove any apparent problems)

3) Extract the .dts audio stream (you can even join multiple files of a source together and extract a single .dts file).

4) Download foobar2000 and check if the length of the audio and video matches.(dont use other softwares since they show incorrect .dts length.

5) Author in your DVD authoring software (dont worry if the authoring software does not show a correct .dts audio length, audio will be in sync, once authored)

6) Check your output in a DVD-RW and finally burn 'n' enjoy!!!!

You should only use genuine Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden media. Many thanks to www.pcx.com.au for their supply and great service.
