Make sure that you have the AC3 codec installed. Either Nimo or Tsunami will have it.

Is there anywhere else to get it without download a pack?

Install a DVD player software, such as PowerDVD, which will install the required filter files.

All I want is just that filter alone.

Do a one line Google search as follows (INCLUDING the quotation marks):

"AC3 codec" AND "download"

there's a decent codec by the name of "AC3 0.61B"

search for that version (an older version is also part of tsunamis filterpack)

+++++

btw: using quotation marks for a single word does NOT make sense at all since quotation marks simply instruct the search engine to look for the WHOLE string WITHIN the quotation marks. a SINGLE word will therefor not benefit from quotation marks!

Actually, there's no need for the Boolean "AND" either - but I have my preset search template set up this way from eons ago ;>}

true true, and i'm a man of habit, too.

but modern search engines like google make searching & finding much easier theses days.
