Default Audio file extension

Media player can't playback some of my mp3 music files save to my flash drive because "the file extension does not match the file format". How can I solve this problem? I've been racking my brains on this issue, please help! Thanks.

It obviously plays mp3 and someone has changed the extension on the media concerned. Find out what it really is, change it back and convert it, if necessary.

You should only use genuine Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden media. Many thanks to for their supply and great service.

Although I do have an idea, how does one find out what the extension really is, & how does one change it back & convert if necessary? Is there an easy way to accomplish all of this? Thanks.
