Unhappy Audio prolems in big movies

I have a weird problem which I don't understand:
When I play big movies that are made of two parts (700mb part1 + 700mb part2) I have audio problems:

*If I'm skipping to a point in the middle of the movie with Divx Alpha player, my HDD will work extra hard for a minute or two and then it'll crush. With Media player (newest version) the audio will "seperate" itself from the video.

*When I start a movie, it will run fine with sound as long as I don't touch it. when I do it speperates. Sometimes I start a movie and there's no sound at all.

*The whole computer seem to run slowly and work real hard when I watch the movie. It doesn't make any sence to me since the file is 700mb+, (there are two parts) just like any other movie that is single-filed.

I do not have this problem when I run a single file movie (which is one file off 700mb+). It only happens with the big movies.
The problem dones't happen when I record my own movies: I can play a 2gb movie on the computer.

1) Load the file into VirtualDub

2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (both video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

Question

Ok, Here is the file info... Do you know what's wrong?
I am putting both files, they are both the same movie.

Both files appear to be "normal" in all respects. I suspect that the only thing that may be troubling the two players that you mentioned is the fact that the audiostream is in .AC3 format.

As an experiment, I;d suggest that you install and use the older, better-behaved, lower-overhead v.6.4 of the Windows Media Player...

Well thanks for the tip, but you see, the reason I have the new media player is because of these movies - I have the same problems on the old player as well.
It's interesting, each player has a different problem...

Do you think the problem is with the files at all? Or is it somthing on my computer? My guess is the second option. I don't know what else to try, these are good movies I am missing.

The only "universal truth" is that you never know what you're getting when you download someone else's creation...
