Default Conversion help needed

Hello,

I just joined, searched - yet could not find ...

My dad's greatest tech adoption was switching to CD from LPs. His music players are CD only era and I need to convert some music from MP3 to CD audio format and burn them to a CD so he can enjoy them.

Does anyone know of a program or site (free is always good) that will convert MP3 to CD audio?

Many thanks beforehand!

Bret

To burn audio CDs I recomment CDBurnerXP a good freeware. It should automatically convert .mp3 and .flac. Also good is Burrrn, although it's no longer updated it works on XP and Vista 32 bit. The downloads say "CDBurnerXP Pro" but it's actually a free program. Easy to use. Also prints simple covers.

Believe it or not, I always use Windows Media Player.

It's already on your PC.

Just drop the file or album into the burn drop zone and when you click burn it will convert to audio CD for you.

Also if the songs are tagged the names will follow as well.

Good Luck on your quest.

Thanks MilesAhead & Burrel84601. I logged in now to post my own results and see you guys responded...I never got the email!(???) Just checked my profile and don't see an option to select/de-select that as an option. Is there one?

Turns out I had to do some real digging to find out what CD Audio format actually is. Seems like a simple issue but you experts must like to keep your secrets. The answer is it's WAV.

So, I used http://zamzar.com/ to convert it first, which works great. It isn't ad free but it's not too annoying, they don't spam you, it has a zillion formats to convert to - and it's free.

I did try Mediaplayer but it rejected it at the burn due to copy protecting or something. So I used my old Roxio v5 and the results were perfect and plays fine in his '80s era player.

Thanks again!

Glad it worked out for you. Another great converter which is also freeware is Format Factory.

Thanks for the feedback.
