what do you think of the quality of KVCD? I mean is it good or would you prefer VCD or SVCD. I think the quality sucks, but my buddies say Im just burning it wrong.

svcd would be better, but not nearly as good as dvd. of course all this will vary depending on the source. what steps have you taken?

hi LT. Columbo,

Originally the file was comprised of two files, one was a cue file and the other was the main file or something called a Bin file, never heard of it before. Then I point the burning programme to the 'cue' file and told it to burn. I used NeroVision express 3.

do you think it would help if I converted the BIN file to an ISO file? or would it make no difference

KVCD is nothing but a different set of matrix used for higher compression levels for your video.

Do an encode and check the quality as per your taste.

It works fine for me though.

No, it wont, since both bin and ISO are containers. ie both are image files with some data inside them and that data will remain intact, no matter what container you use.
