Unhappy Slow Motion Sound

Hi,

I tried playing an XviD and the picture played fine, but I had no sound. I eventually installed AC3 for the sound, and now I have sound, but the sound sounds as if the video is being played in slow motion. Women sound like men, and men sound like frogs. I've searched the web and found antoher person who claimed to have this problem with XviD, and someone replied the he should try to find a computer which had media player 6.4 on it, and use that instead of media player 7 or later.

There must be a more logical way of fixing this problem, can anyone help me??

Use WMP 6.4 to play the file, (mplayer2.exe it is standard with most if not all Windows OS's).
