Default Favc

I just became aware of this avi=>dvd freeware suite. FAVC screams on XP dual core machines. Right now there's a memory trapping issue with Vista but the author is working on it. I haven't noticed any problems at all with XP so far. In addition to launching multiple encoder instances it lets you add .srt subtitles as hard or selectable subs.

It has a very interesting design. The GUI lets you input encoder parameters and when you execute the encoding process it analyzes the video(s) and creates a batch file to do the encoding and DVD authoring. When the batch starts, it notifies that you can close the GUI.

Hi, I just down load FAVC again and try it again. I like the hard sub button too, but I can seem to find how you can put two file to one disc option?

Thanks

Hi NT,

How is everything ...

1) Under "sources & Output" Tab Click on the Magnifying Glass on top right hand corner and locate your AVI files and add them in the window ... 2, 3, 4 or however many that you think it can fit on a DVD ...

2) Under same Tab look for "Menu" button and choose "Yes".

3) Go to Tab "DVD Options"
a) Put in a "Heading" ... whatever you want to call that DVD compilation.
b) Correct the Names or typing under the "Titles" ..

4) the rest you already said that you know how to do ... choose your Encoder, Quality, and so forth ... BTW, QuEnc is faster than HcEnc if you have no patience like me.
Nice seeing you around dude!

G!

Hey gonwk! Right now I'm running DVD Flick (as you suggested I try) on my Vista machine. It's pretty cool. In "fast" mode I get about 86 fps. I can't wait until FAVC is fixed for Vista though. I should get about 130 fps between the dual instances of QuEnc.. without doing any preparations. Very nice!

Mr_Odwin just came up with a FAVC.exe that seems to work in Vista. A few tests and he should be posting a Vista-friendly version soon!! I'm running it now on a file that trapped out before on the AMD machine. I'm getting about 128 fps combined QuEnc throughput. Very nice!!

Hi FAVC users,

How do I go about doing invoking this command. It came up several times and I think FAVC is great I want to use it more. Hats off to Mr_Odwin. Thanks
