Angry-2 no image on virtualdub

Hi there I'm pretty new to the whole divx process so I hope somebody could help me.
I'm trying to trim some divx movies so that I could burn them onto a cd, but when I try to load the divx onto virtualdub i get no image in virtualdub.
Could anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong,

In order to determine which codec(s) you need for a particular .AVI, you should do the following:

1) Load the .AVI file into VirtualDub or NanDub

2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (both video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

Push f9 and f10 (show input/output video).

Not quite t3chnical, but hey, sometimes the little stupid stuff is the problem
