Default Questions about Auto GK?

Hi,

I understand Auto GK is basically for beginners. When i encode to XviD using it, does it keep my audio in the movie or does it Demux it and i have too manually Mux it back in? I see a audio file that it's creating. What is 1/4 DVDR 1120 Mb about? Like will my movie be 1120 Megs? Or will it be smaller around 700? Can someone give me details about Auto GK?

AutoGK pretty much does everything, even subtitles. And it will allow you to specify any size output you want, whether it's 700 MB, or 4200 MB for DVDs. The guide for doing DVD conversion on it is here:

Thank you admin. Out of this output. Does this quality look good? I am also using ac3 audio or is this that not a good idea?

Repeat me NEVER EVER using Auto GK again. What the hell was that? MPC shown my movie completely in green and the audio sounded like a damn broken record.

Sounds like you've got a playback problem, rather than an encoding problem. Are you using ffdshow or the latest DivX/XviD codec? Just in case it was an encoding issue, are you using the latest version of AutoGK (just updated the latest beta version today)?

No. Do you know how old the tools and codecs are at doom9? They are ancient. Do i need ffdshow along with Divx/Xvid Codecs? Where can i download both Divx and XviD codecs updated of couse? Where can i download the latest Auto GK? If you can answer them questions with possible links then i re-encode?

Install the latest full version of AutoGK:

http://www.digital-digest.com/softwa...0&ssid=0&did=1

It should by default install to "C:\Program Files\AutoGK\"

Then download and run the update patch:

http://www.digital-digest.com/softwa...0&ssid=0&did=2

The latest AutoGK includes updates to several required software, such as XviD. Try the encoding again, perhaps only on a small clip/section of the video to save time.

I seriously recommend using ffdshow to decode/play all your DivX/XviD movies, rather than using the actual DivX or XviD codecs (use them for encoding only). If you don't know how to setup ffdshow, then you might look at using a codec/filter pack which does the setup for you, such as the K-lite codec pack:

http://www.digital-digest.com/softwa...9&ssid=0&did=6

If you do use K-lite, when it asks you to uninstall DivX or XviD, don't uninstall them - you will still need them for encoding DivX/XviD files.
