Question I canīt view a dvd on my computer and unable to make backup.

I need help.
Can someone help me with a DVD that canīt be read or opened in my computer and therefore I canīt make a backup of it.
The DVD is Björn Afzelius Live a dubbel-dvd.
I have tried many programs to open it on my computer but it wonīt be displayed, viewed or opened. It works fine in my dvd, but I would like to make a backup of it just in case it gets damaged or so.
Can anyone please help me solve this problem?

Thanks in advance.

You can view other DVDs on your PC OK?

This might be a problem with your DVD drive. What make and model is it? You may need to clean the laser.

Regards

You should only use genuine Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden media. Many thanks to www.pcx.com.au for their supply and great service.

Or clean the DVD, it certainly isn't a region problem.

Thanks for your reply.
There is nothing wrong with the DVD in it self, it works fine in a ordinary stationary DVD player/recorder, but if I try to access the disc (havent tried disc 2 yet) it´s impossible to open it on my computer. And I have tried some different programs to open it: MS mediaplayer, RealPlayer, PowerDVD, DVDShrink and some more softwares with same poor result: I get a message to insert a disc... or unable to open disc...
I don´t know how to access the disc to be able to view it on my computer or make a backup of it. Has anyone got a clue how to solve this problem?

DVD players and computers access discs in different ways. Please try the cleaning and Polishing guide in my signature, it will likely solve the problem IF you can read other discs in the PC without trouble.
