Unhappy Windows XP and Windows 2000 Problem.

Howdi everyone..thanks abdul, smeellyfish1 and Setrip for helping me previously.

Now i just today upgrades my windows to 2000 and somehow cant seem to view half the movies i have, they use to work in windows 98 in 2000 some sound comes but no video, some it say does not support format, i have no ideas on what 2 do. do i need another Codec for Windows 2000 and Windows XP(which is what i should have byy the end of today, please someone help me is there any Codec and DirectX special version for windows XP?

Same thing happens when i burn VCD's from Dat to mpeg using VCD Gear as Well as ISO Buster, windows media player says does not support format. however it use to work under windows 98
