Not sure what dvds you are talking about, or what your problem is.
You need to be much more specific to get help, imho.

tstewertrules20, If I'm reading this right, your trying to back up ( burn ) a dvd format to a blank CD, normally used for music backups. Try using a Blank DVD+R disc to burn to and you might have better luck with nero. In this case you will have to have a DVD burner installed in your computer, not just a CD burner. Also Do take a read of Blutachs' DVD shrink for dummies, it will help you tremendously.

A blank DVD -R disc could perhaps also work.

What kind of video are you trying to put on a DVD ? Are you trying to back up a actual DVD, or is this a Video CD that you want on a DVD?

Is this video from a camcorder?

Your answer here is important.

Ok, now we are getting somewhere,
If you are burning video to a CD that is a VCD=video cd
Video cd for mat is .mpeg,or.mpeg1 super VCD, = .mpeg2
If you want this type of video in a DVD you will have to convert the file format to a compatible DVD file format.

Here is a great place to look for more information on that.

You can if you want too, I am no master with converting video though.

That last link I sent to you will have a lot of information that will be helpful.
You may want to start a thread on converting your video in that forum.
