G'Day all,

Newbie here needing some advice please.

My dvd movie backaup, dvd's will only play on my computer.
I have 4 compatable dvd players in my house and all 4 have the same problem...The movies will only play a random chapter or will repeat just a small part of movie.

I have windows vista and nero 8.

You might try Imgburn. It's free and it doesn't try to convert your video before burning it like Nero can do sometimes. Until you have it sorted out you might want to invest in some RW dvd blanks for test burns. A 5 box should be plenty. I use Memorex DVD+RW 4-8x and have gotten good results. Only thing is in Imgburn make sure you format them before the first burn or you'll get an error. Once formatted the most you need to do is a Quick Erase now and then.

I don't think Kev's wife wants to use RWs exclusively!

Only use Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks. Post a burn log.

Read and implement the Golden Rules of Burning.
