With digital cameras, the most important piece of the camera is the lens. Pentax makes wonderful lenses. I have the 33sl optio (my 1st) and sometimes it takes better pictures than my 5MB HP because of the lens.

But for clarity and ease to blow it up (or to crop heavily) I have a 7MB Samsung with a pentax lens. The more megabytes, the easier it is to crop without looking grainy or pixealated.

I have a Lexmark X75 printer/scanner. I am able to scan up to 300 pixels per inch in 24bit colour. This is a great scanner but sucks at photo printing because of the ink cost. I bring my pics to walmart or walgrens and get them printed for 20 cents a piece. At home the cost would be over a $1.00 each after buying paper and ink. The only pics I print are 8X11s because the cost is still so high to outsource the printing.

Note; I have seen walgrens offer 8X11 for 99 cents on sales.

I go to snapfish.com to print out my photos. They are user friendly and you can either have them shipped to you or you can pick them up at the local walgreens.

If you don't have a good photo program, you can mess with the pics a little too. I have photoshop. Couldn't live without it!

My camera is an Olympus Camedia C-4000

Printer is an Epson Stylus Photo R340. Still trying to tweak it, its testy. Had a great HP932c before but my 3 yr old fed it a chocolate chip cookie.
