Question mpeg2 encoder

Hi, I was using the mpeg encoder from www.mpeg.org/MPEG/MSSG but I couldnt set the parameter (.par) file in the right way. The video apears with a pink bar on the botton, or with the columns wrong... I think the problem is about resolutoin (display window size) but I've already tryed to fix it and didnt work...
can Someone here give me a hand?
thanks in advance...

The link to their encoder is broken, or I would have installed it just to see what you mean.
BTW, contrary to your post title, this is only an mpeg1 (VCD) encoder.

The encoder that I downloaded is at: ftp://ftp.mpegtv.com/pub/mpeg/mssg/mpeg2v12.zip
acording to the creators, it is mpeg2
(at the readme file: http://www.mpeg.org/MPEG/MSSG/Codec/readme.txt )

Ok, they've updated, now it does mpeg2. Some year maybe they'll get a GUI for it.
Post your .par file, and I'll take a look.

352 /* horizontal_size */
264 /* vertical_size */

Not valid. It should be 352x240.

thanks a lot...
How can I know the valid sizes? I wanna use it with other videos too...
is there a way of getting them directly from the video file (or, is it on the "header" of the video file)?

Virtualdub, File, File Info.

Check your framerate too. 29.97 for NTSC, 25 for PAL. You have it at #5=30fps.
