time = quality, I dont have CCE but I read it twice as fast ( also depend on computer, dual core can make it faster too)

From what I understand CCE is faster then HC.I use Procoder 2 and it is fast as well it takes right around 2 hours to do a full movie on my Pentium D

For me approximately 3.5 hours on a two hour movie.

If your using the freeware version of DVD-RB 098.1 be sure to manually update to the encoder HC 019.1 may help in the encoding time.

Freeware version DVD-RB 098.1 only comes with the HC encoder 019 and HC019.1 is the latest.

which HC quality mode have you chosen, let me put it as a equation

more quality=more time
More CPU power = Less time
More RAM = Less time (relatively and 1 GB is enough)
Multiple Encoder processes (DVDRB-Pro) = Less time
Lengthier movie = More time
More Avisynth filter's used = More time
