Hi Mike,

What version of DVDRB are you using? Pro or free version?

I have used the free version ... with both HC019 & QuEnc ... I like both ... but probably will stick with QuEnc ... since "I FEEL" and emphasis is on "FEEL" may be I like the coloring and shading better with QuEnc.

So ....

G!

I think Procoder 2 (on mastering quality) is the best encoder. Many tests were done by taking screen shoots with different encoders with different settings, and I believe procoder 2's results won the over best approval of many of the forum members. Do a forum search to find some of these comparisons and decide for yourself. A side note though, Pro Coder 2 is a commerical encoder and does cost a considerable amount of money. I bought it through my university and it was around $300. I heard some have bought it Between the $400-$550 range.

From all the tests I've seen, HC encoder is the best freeware and for paid, Procoder.

I cannot wait until the new version of HC encoder. Hurry uppp!

Mike7778 - some searching of the stickies will tell you what you need to know.

And how can anyone tell you how long it takes, when it has to do with length of video to be encoded and speed of system.

Regards
