Problem installing VirtualDubMod (add permanent subtitles Guide) - Help Needed

    I have 2 problems.

I have a problem installing VirtualDubMod. Upon finishing downloading the file, which is a .zip file, when I click on 'virtualdubmod.exe in the WinRAR program, it goes straight to the program without properly installing it on my C: drive. Any advice on how to properly installing it? This is needed so I can complete Step 1:Install the subtitler filter, where I would have to copy the subtitler.vdf file into the Plugins folder under the VirtualDub program directory.

On the other hand, I also tried using the program without actually installing on my C: drive properly, and when it came to doing Step 3: Apply the subtitles with VirtualDub, and when adding the "subtitler filter", the option was not even there. Where did it go?

Virtualdubmod does NOT require installation. It works from the folder.
The subtitler.vdf file just has to be Copy-Pasted into the plugins folder and you will have it shown in VDMod.

        Where is the subtitler.vdf file?

I'm new to this site, so please be gentle.

I'm trying to follow the step by step instructions, but i get stuck on the first part where it says to "copy the subtitler.vdf file into the plugin folder".

Well that's all fine but it doesn't explain WHERE i have to copy the file FROM.

Is it part of VirtualDub or DivXLand? I've searched all over my computer wihtout any luck finding it, so what am i doing wrong??

        Please, please help me.
        Thanks in advance.
