Normally when I hear rumors of a sequel to a somewhat-good movie I automatically cringe, but I’m not doing that today. According to Bloody Disgusting, Cloverfield director Matt Reeves knows about the rumors of a sequel for the monster movie, and won’t say flat out that it isn’t an option.

Yup, Juno was pretty good. They put that animated intro on the web and generated a lot more buzz than million dollar 30 second tv spots ever would have.

Michael Clayton would get my vote for Best Picture, tho. Yeah it's George Clooney playing George Clooney, but he's usually still watchable, and everyone else is perfect. Tom Wilkinson, especially. If you recognize the name you already know how good he is, this role just solidifies that fact. Think they re-released it in theaters a couple weeks ago, too. Very few movies are able to illicit a physical response in me. Climax scene at the end, Tilda Swinton nails that one, too. Hard to explain that feeling, but she conveys it well. Sheer terror? A horrific dread? Whatever you call it, I felt it. Another scene in the movie I don't want to spoil, but leaves you feeling a little gut-punched too. Just one of those flicks where they're able to make you actually care about what happens to the characters. Rare these days.

That's another intro they should put out on the web. Not over the top or anything just makes you think "wow...this might actually be good" and then doesn't disappoint.

Clayton was good, a little overdone, it was nice to see Clooney's character develope.

As Sir Hopkins was the first to admit: this is a strange film.

I wonder what he had going on when he decided to make this film, hope he gets a little of his money back when it comes out on dvd

hi br7. saw y tu mama tambien. know what you mean about the explicit scenes. pretty good though. next is amore perros. i'll check back after i watch it.

Cloverfield 2 sequel? lord if that's what a certain genre of movie goers want to see, then God bless them. i walked out. but, hey, if it's going to make $$$ 4 those involved then let them go 4 it.

Michael Clayton haven't seen, but was w/a friend today in the business, and he was glad he didn't go to the theatre to check it out. said same thing as many did 4 American Gangster, overhyped so automatically made him decide not to go. Chewy might b right. wonder what was going on in Clooney's life? Hope he didn't go ahead w/those ridiculous plans of opening up a casino in Vegas where you would have to suit up. lol...

Saw Sunshine. kinda bugged out a lil, but not that bad. rented of course.

Hard Candy if i didn't mention it b4 was totally off the hook.

Seraphin Falls was good, except had an ending almost like No Country For Old Men. Brosnan was great. As a revolutionary Eastwood/Rambo character.

Finally saw Night At The Museum. Liked it. What can i say...

Death Sentence was ok also w/Bacon. This guy just has a penchant 4 that kind of character. If i'm having some senior moments here. excuse me.

Looking forward to lmao again so Amateurs looks like the next comedy. Meet The Spartans still makes me roll when I think about it.

Definitely have to go see There Will Be Blood. nothing but good reviews, from friends, and critics alike.

Don't know if i posted this either, but watched some b&w goodies the other day. Detour, Killer Bait, Scarlet Street, The Stranger, and D.O.A. Nothing like real acting to put things in perspective. can't go wrong w/Robinson. Thought he only made gansta flics. La Vie En Rose was too long, and the woman was annoying as hell.

Also if i didn't mention it b4 Behind Enemy Lines 2 was pretty good. Str8 to dvd like many nowadays.

the whole movie was a subtle statement till the end, and then the message hit you like a ton of bricks

Yea,y tu mama tambien was a great flick .You should enjoy amore perros,it will remind you a lot of the way director Alejandro González Iñárritu did Bable. If you end up liking Amores perros then I would highly recommend 21 Grams

i saw 21 Grams way back when it came out. it was good. kind of like crash in a way where everything was linked together somehow.

btw that Halloween remake was pretty good also. You have any idea who it was that broke him out of the police precint in the other sequel. remember, the guy w/the boots and cowboy hat. that's always been a mystery to me. mab material 4 another day?
