    Budget Recipes

I could be wrong but I think most of us have had to live on a tight budget & perhaps still do. Well you still gotta eat but you have to come up with cheap meal ideas especially trying to feed a family. So I am going to start this off & we will see where it goes.

    can of corned beef
can of sweetlets or small peas
    chopped onion
2 X oxo/12oz water mixed or seasoning from package of noodles/12oz water

Mix everything together in a frying pan & cook. Serve over a bed of the noodles from the package or rice or with any potato you like.

Thanks soup, and of coarse LT can add hot sauce to his liking as well.

I do something similar. Chili related, anyway. Great for a college student.

1 can chili (I use Wolf brand with beans)
1 cup Maruchan noodles (typically beef flavored)
1 bag of chili cheese Fritos

Cook the noodles and chili as usual. Drain the noodles and add to the chili. I usually try and cut the noodles up before I start mixing. I don't put the Fritos in, I just eat them on the side. Can also just use bread and make sort of a bread taco.

Before you say "eww", you don't really taste the noodles flavoring. It's just like chili but more filling. You can use Ramen noodles or whatever, too, I just find the cups are easier to work with.

btw, there's a site called "pimp my snack". We should post these there for kicks.
