subtitles, green and bold, how to change

After downloading a DVD i have all the vob files and the BUP files. No IFO files, but I create them using ifoedit. My problem (am sure many others have it too) is that the subtitles is the color green and the font style is bold. This makes it almost impossible to read. After lots of hours searching the web I found a way to change the font color, but the style is still bold. So bold that the letters are touching eachother (probably nice for them, but mighty annoying for me). Anyone know of a way or an application to change the font???
