    To use Bi-Encoding or not?

    Hi,

I plan on backing up dvd's with some high quality divx. My limit is 2gb thoug so I have a choice.

    5.0.2 100% quality with Bi-Encoding

    or

5.0.3 97% Quality with no Bi-Encoding (they are messed up anyway in this ver)

Which of these will give me higher picture qualuity?

My dvd's are 720x576 and I resize them to 640xwhatever.

    Regards

    i prefer 5.0.2 with bframes

503 was only tested WITH bframes. though i did not have any crap/****t in my video the quality still wasnt convincing at all and that's why i uninstalled 5.0.3.

      Thanks for the answer.

So B-frames don't add any artefacts in 5.0.2? I do my movies in quant value 2.

      Regards
