    BTTF encoding

    Hey guys,

I'm trying to divx my copy of Back to the Future part 1 and I set it for an audio bitrate of VBR 128 and tell it the max size it can be is 700mb. When it finishes, the video is 700mb but when it appends the audio it's 820mb. I'll attatch the gordion knot log to see if anyone can help me!

    8/28/2004 9:55:43 AM: Job "Movie 1" started.

    o Transcode AC3 -> MP3: G:\BACK_TO_THE_FUTURE\VIDEO_TS\BTTF1 AC3 T01 3_2ch 448Kbps DELAY 0ms.ac3
    o DivX5-First Pass: G:\BACK_TO_THE_FUTURE\VIDEO_TS\BTTF1.avs
    o DivX5-Second Pass: G:\BACK_TO_THE_FUTURE\VIDEO_TS\BTTF1.avs
    o Mux Audio.

    Good evening,

I wondered if your basic file is not the dts.
It was only just a parenthesis.

To avoid this kind of problem (because I like to know and to understand what I make well), I am going to indicate you a method of conversion audio video that I recommend to start.

    1. you rippes your DVD with DVDDECRYPTER
    2. With DVD2AVI you create your file d2v and, excerpt the audio of basis
    3. Then, you convert your audio of basis in mp3 vbr with BESWEET or HEADAC3HE.
    4. With GK you open your file d2v. In "Audio A"you put the size of your audio file.
You shoot to "Calculate Picture-Overhead." Then you raise the bitrate.
You pursue in resizing your picture to create the file avs; that you will record in a file.
    5. You use Virtualdub then for the encoding of the video.
6 and finally, NANDUB for the multiplexage.

In this way, you will be sure of the size of the final file (about 700 to 702 mb guaranteed).
