    Ver-low bitrate video

For an underwater camera I need an encoder that allows very-low bitrate encoding (1kB\sec). In addition to that the whole thing should be able to run on a microprocessor. So if anybody knows where I can find (easyly understandable) source code for an encoder that would really help me. Cheers

many codecs can do that job, such as xvid and divx i believe... but 1kb/s is a ridiculously small bitrate... you wouldnt be able to make out what you are seeing

even so, your best bet will probably be "windows media video", as it is better at low bitrates

    good luck
