Hhhhelp Needed With Winxp & Divx

I was using a system with windows ME and divx5.1 codec in which all my video files worked correctly. Now on a new system with XP certain videos will only work with audio in Media player and no picture (Media Player Visualisations are displayed instead and the time of the videos are shown as 12-14 hours in length for a 2 hour film). I still have the divx codec 5.1 and the files work in divx player ok. Also Gspot claims that the correct codecs are all installed and on rendering claimed it should work fine. Is it something wrong with Media Player on XP? Fox19 posted in a thread a similar problem that was solved through an update for Media Player XP, however I dont know where to get this. If anyone knows the update that is needed, please let me know

You should try playing the file in a different, better player; BSPlayer or WMP 6.4, for example. If necessary, reinstall the DivX codec into your system.
